KOLKATA: Tollywood superstar Prosenjit Chatterjee, who will be hosting the upcoming quiz-based game show Ke Hobe Banglar Kotipoti, said that it’s a blessing to host such a show.
Ke Hobe Banglar Kotipoti is the Bengali version of the popular game show Kaun Banega Crorepati, which is based on the British show Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? Produced by Big Synergy Media Limited and featuring Chatterjee as the host, the Bengali version will be aired on Colors Bangla.
“This is really an important show. The people who hosted this show before are all respected people. I will try to justify my role,” Prosenjit said at a recent press conference of the programme.
“It’s a blessing for me to do a show of international standard,” added the Dosar, Autograph and Jaatishwar fame actor.
For Chatterjee, proper homework is of utmost importance for any work.
He said, “Before doing any work or preparing for any role, I do my basic homework. I will do my homework for this show as well.”
“One thing I can say is that I won’t host the show as Prosenjit Chatterjee but as Bumba Da,” added the National-Award winning actor who is popular as Bumba Da in Bengal.
On the winning amount of Rs1 crore, he said, “Since we work in Bangla cinema, we rarely get to see Rs1 crore. We make cinema by struggling a lot. So, it would be a blessing to handover the amount (to the winner) because those who will participate in the show, too, have their own struggle and dream.”
On asked how it feels to have this new identity to which he said with a smile, “This is something very different. I am really enjoying this.”
Ke Hobe Banglar Kotipoti will premiere on 16 July and air every Monday to Friday at 9 pm.
