MUMBAI: Ashish Kapoor has a new identity. He calls himself Reyaan Ashish Kapoor now. The Mann Ki Awaaz Pratigya 2 actor has added Reyaan to his original name and believes that it will result in all things good in life. In fact, he arrived at this decision at his mother’s suggestion.
He says, “My mother met a numerologist, who advised this addition of a name for me. She has seen me work hard all these years. I have done good work, but she feels that I deserve a lot more, be it on the work or financial front. After contemplating for a few days, I decided to go ahead with it. I have faith in my mom’s faith (smiles). Among the options, I felt an immediate connection with the name, Reyaan, which means fame. I already feel positive and motivated. My mother and I plan to change it legally, too.”
On the work front, the actor, who played Adarsh in Mann Ki Awaaz Pratigya 2 and was last seen in a cameo in Shubh Laabh – Aapkey Ghar Mein, is waiting to become a part of an interesting project. He says, “I had a great time playing the character of Adarsh and the feedback was encouraging. I have enjoyed working in the TV space but now, I am looking forward to exploring the OTT domain.
