Kumkum Bhagya leading lady Mugdha Chaphekar gets inspired by Kiara Advani for her new bridal look

Zee TV’s immensely popular primetime drama Kumkum Bhagya has kept its audience hooked with intriguing twists and turns in Ranbir’s (Krishna Kaul) and Prachi’s (Mugdha Chaphekar) lives. While for her wedding with Ranbir before the leap, Mugdha Chaphekar took inspiration from Alia Bhatt, now she is all set to recreate the bridal look of Kiara Advani when the latter tied the knot with Sidharth Malhotra in February this year. For the unversed, Mughda will be seen getting married to Abhishek Malik aka Akshay Tandon.

While the wedding sequence of the show features some high-octane drama, Mugdha’s resplendent look as the bride has got everyone raving. Her wedding look comprised of a fully embroidered baby pink lehenga, which was paired with a statement green necklace, ‘chooda’ (traditional Punjabi bangles), and ‘gajra’ (flowers). From what we hear, it was the co-actors and crew members on the sets of Kumkum Bhagya who pointed the close resemblance of her attire with the famous bridal trousseau of Kiara Advani.

Talking about her look, Mugdha Chaphekar said, “Dressing up as a bride for the show is not a new experience for me, but what definitely was amazing and surreal was when everyone on the set found my bridal ensemble similar to Kiara Advani’s wedding look. I would give all the credit to my creative team for giving me such a rich and elegant look for the marriage sequence. As soon as I stepped out after getting ready, I got so many compliments for this look, and I just can’t wait for my fans and viewers to watch the upcoming track.”

In the recent episodes, viewers witnessed how the tables have turned, as Ranbir has stepped back from marrying Rhea (Tina Philip) at the last minute so that he can stop Prachi and Akshay’s wedding. And as soon as he reaches the wedding venue, he faints, and eventually, Prachi gets married to Akshay. The serial will soon focus on how Ranbir’s betrayal to Rhea and losing his love to another man will impact the relationships of these four intertwined lives.

Kumkum Bhagya airs from Monday to Sunday at 9 pm on Zee TV.
