Bebika Dhurve plays the role of Devika Oberoi in Zee TV show Bhagya Lakshmi. The show stars Rohit Suchanti and Aishwarya Khare in the lead roles and Bebika plays a pivotal role in the show. In an exclusive conversation, Bebika opened up about her experience shooting for Bhagya Lakshmi.

What made you say yes to Bhagyalaxmi?
The briefing of the character and the soberness and kindness really touched my heart.
How did you prepare for the role?
I have been tomboy my whole life and I used to try like men, and this character is very graceful and ethnic , so prepping up for the character completely transformed me .
What was your first reaction when you finalized for the show?
I was super excited and the script was very interesting and I had an intuition that it’s going to go a long way and before this I got 2 shows from Balaji , one of them was Daayan but I rejected it and here I feel very positive about everything.
How do you deal with creative differences on the set?
There haven’t been any differences yet, everything is going great.
What do you like most about your character?
It is unique and inspite of being a super rich family she is very down to earth and she understands what the reality of life is.
Do you think Bhagya Lakshmi has enhanced or boosted your career in any way?
It’s the one pre-emptive for me, because it is my first show , this is my first time facing the camera and entering the industry of entertainment and professionally I am a doctor, so juggling both the careers is a breakthrough and I want to make the best out of it.
